Monocular Cue: Visual cues to depth or distance, which can be used by one eye alone.
In the picture, we know that there is depth and distance just by looking at it.
The distance and depth is noticeable right away with one eye alone.

Figure-Ground Perception
Figure-Ground Perception: Relating to or denoting the perception of images by the distinction of objects from a background from which they appear to stand out
In the picture, the branches make a face but some people might not be able to notice that right away.
Binocular Cue
Binocular Cue- Information taken in by both eyes that aids in depth perception, including binocular convergence and retinal disparity.
The information is taken in by both eyes which causes depth perception in the picture. The viewer can notice that the picture continues.

Proximity
Proximity- We group nearby figures together
- We group these geese as a group in a "V" instead of individual geese

Similarity
Similarity- We group together figures that are similar to one another
- We view this as a continuous diagonal line of O's instead of grouping dissimilar figures
ex: lines of X's and O's mixed
ex: lines of X's and O's mixed
Continuity
Continuity- We perceive smooth, continuous pattern/lines rather than discontinuous ones
- We view these as continuous roads
